![]() ![]() Greetings, my name is Bro. Matthew Richey. I am currently a professional tattoo artist and am into law enforcement. Crazy combination, huh? You can visit my tattoo site through my LINKS page or you can see what I look like (G-D forbid, lol), in my PHOTOS page.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, but am currently residing in Virginia. I have been interested in the Ancient Craft of Freemasonry pretty much all of my life. I guess like most of everyone involved with the Fraternity, I too, had relatives which were and are still Freemasons.
In early 2001, I began doing research on Freemasonry via the internet. Why??? To this day, I have no clue. I think it may because I kept passing by the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia, admiring the awesome structuring, architecture, and beauty of this 333 foot-tall building. Anyone who has been privileged enough to visit it will know exactly what I am saying. On the internet, I would look up any and all the information I could find to learn about speculative Masonry. It took a while to make up my mind, but when I did, I knew for certain that I wanted to be a Freemason. Despite all of the negativity from what I call the humorous anti-Masonic crap sites. I'm sure that most of you are familiar with those GARBAGE hate websites, made and ran by a few paranoid schizophrenic conspiracy theorists. They are quite amusing though. I do, however, agree that these angry souls should spend more time bettering themselves, their families, as well as their communities rather than trying to put down and belittle everybody else. Either way, Freemasonry is NOT a secret society, but a society with secrets. The Craft is NOT a religion, nor a substitute for religion, though religious in some of it's aspects. PERIOD! How secret could it really be? Masonic Lodges are listed in the phone book. That's not really a well-hidden secret if you ask me. I really DO NOT believe that the Masons are trying to rule the world (though that may be kinda fun), start a new world order, or that they practice some demonic witchcraft satan-worshipping cult activity. Just talk to a Mason and see what Freemasonry is REALLY all about.
The bottom line is that all I had to do to join the Freemasons was to ASK!!! I didn't need a special invitation or someone to ask me. If that was the case, I, or anyone else, would NEVER get in. I was also concerned that I wasn't good enough to be a Mason. Man, was I WRONG! I guess the Masonic motto is true..."TO BE ONE ASK ONE!" (2B1ASK1). To put it simply, don't expect an invitation.
Please feel free to read about my initiation into the Blue Lodge of the ancient Craft of FREEMASONRY! I hope this site will enlighten you and give you some insite on the world's OLDEST and LARGEST Fraternal Organization...
